Fresh Covid cases go up to 48 in UT

Puducherry, Oct 16 (UNI) The new Coronavirus cases have gone up to 48 in the Union Territory during the last 24 hours, ending at 10 AM, on Saturday, after 37 cases were recorded on Friday.
With this the infection tally rose to 1,27,344. No deaths were reported during the period and the death toll remained at 1,849.
The fresh cases have been reported after 3,823 swab samples of persons tested yesterday.
