Puducherry, Sep 15 (UNI) The Union Territory of Puducherry has reported 380 fresh COVID-19 cases while 11 patients died during the last 24 hours.
The number of active cases stands at 4,674 on Tuesday.
According to the COVID 19 status released by the health department here, 270 new cases were reported in Puducherry region, 63 in Karaikal region, 44 in Yanam region and 3 in Mahe region.
As many as 495 persons were discharged in the last 24 hours. Of them, 435 were from Puducherry region,16 from Karaikal region, 42 from Yanam region and 2 from Mahe region.
Of the 11 deaths, ten were in Puducherry region and one in Yanam region.
Presently, 1366 patients are being treated in Puducherry region, 78 in Karaikal region, 206 in Yanam region and 20 in Mahe region.
Another 3004 persons tested positive for the virus are under home isolation in all the four regions of the UT.

So far 20,601 persons were infected by the virus and of which 15,522 were treated and discharged, 405 died and 4674 patients are being treated in hospitals and home isolation.
