Puducherry, Aug 27 (UNI) As many as 511 more persons were tested positive for the Coronavirus taking the total number of active cases to 4,483 and ten patients died in Union Territory in the last 24 hours.
According to the COVID 19 status released by the health department here on Thursday, 461 of the new cases were reported in Puducherry region, 31 in Karaikal region,13 in Yanam region and 6 in Mahe region.
As many as 275 persons were discharged in the last 24 hours. Of them, 264 were from Puducherry region, eight from Karaikal region, and three from Yanam region.
