Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 26 (UNI) Nineteen more people tested positive for the Omicron variant of COVID-19 on Sunday, taking the total such cases to 57 in Kerala so far, state Health Minister Veena George said.
Highest eleven cases were reported in Ernakulam district, followed by six in Thiruvananthapuram district, one each in Kannur and Thrissur districts, the Minister said in a press release.
In view of Omicron cases rising rapidly in Kerala, the Minister urged people to take utmost care and follow COVID protocol strictly to stop further spread of the pandemic.
