Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 9 (UNI) Kerala reported 25 deaths due to COVID-19 on Friday, whereas the infection numbers reached 9,250 in the state, out of which 8,048 patients have recovered from the disease and 91,756 patients are currently under treatment, Health Minister KK Shailaja said.
The health minister, in a press release here this evening, said 25 deaths were confirmed on Friday due to COVID taking the death toll in the state to 955.
The deceased were identified as Sasidharan Nair (75), Chellammal (70), Manju (29), Nusaifa Beevi (65), Omana (68), Velukutty (68) from Thiruvananthapuram district; Gunaseelan (53) from Kanyakumari district (TN), Nazeera Beevi (53), Sushilan (45), Thomas Philippose (68) and Telma (81) from Kollam district; Abdul Rahman Kunju (63) and Prakashan (68) from Alappuzha district, Sijo Thomas (38) from Kottayam district; Ammini Sreedharan (80), Shivan (84), Fathima (79) and Shaji (57) from Ernakulam district, Zubaida (55) from Thrissur district, Raghavan (85) from Kozhikode district; Abdul Khadir (70), Beavathu (60), Mariam (62) and Muhammad (70) from Malappuram district, and Abdullah (61) from Kasargod district.
