Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 4 (UNI) Kerala reported 11 deaths due to COVID-19 on Friday, whereas 2,479 people tested positive to the virus, 2,716 patients have recovered from the disease, and total 21,268 patients are under treatment, Health Minister KK Shailaja said this evening.
"Currently 1,97,937 people are under observation across the state -- 1,80,743 are under home or institutional quarantine and 17,194 in hospitals. So far 60,448 persons have been cured of COVID, and 1,750 persons were hospitalised today," the Minister said in a press release.
The Minister also confirmed the 11 COVID deaths, Raphael (78) and Shibin (39) in Thrissur, Amina (95) and Muhammad (73) in Malappuram, Abdul Rahman (60) in Kasargod, Vasudevan (83) and Santosh Kumar (45) in Kannur, Ravidas (69), Sabariar (65) and Sulaja (56) in Thiruvananthapuram and Bushra Beevi (61) in Kollam, taking the death toll to 326.
