Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 24 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan informed that 6,324 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in the state on Thursday.
"Currently 45,919 patients are under treatment. 5,321 are cases of local transmission with the contact source unknown in 628. About 105 healthcare workers were infected through contact. At the same time, 3,168 patients have recovered from the disease today," the Chief Minister said while addressing a press conference here.
The Chief Minister added that "The rising numbers show that we are moving to a serious situation in the state. The maximum number of new cases today was reported from Kozhikode district.'
