Lack of communication by Health department alleged in man who escaped from Kuthiravattam mental asylum testing positive

Kozhikode, Aug 4 (UNI) The alleged lack of timely communication by the health officials has made many cops and health workers come in contact with a COVID-19 positive man making tens of them forced to go on mandatory quarantine.
The man who was tested positive for the virus was Shanu, one among the four persons who had escaped from the Government Mental Health Centre in nearby Kuthiravattam on July 24.
Four persons under treatment at the asylum had escaped from the asylum on July 24. Three of them were accused in different criminal cases but were admitted to the asylum as they were having psychological disorders. The fourth person was an inmate of the asylum.
