Center grants over 36 billion USD

Hubbballi, 22 Nov (UNI) Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Coal Pralhad Joshi said here last night that the Center has Spent amount Equialent to more than 36 (Thirty Six) Billion US Dollars for providing Health Service to the people in the Country during the year 2019.
Speaking as an Honourary Guest at the Inauguration of a Rupees 29 (Twenty Nine) Crores Medical Buildings Complex consisting of a Cardiology Center, an Administrative-cum-Teaching-cum Examination Hall with a capacity for upto 375 Students, an Outpatient with a 60 Bed Ward, Modern Operation Super Retina Center equipped with Optical Coherence Tomography, Fundus Camera and Laser Machines at the Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) here, the Union Minister said that despite the powerful Pharmaceuital Lobby, under the strong leadership of PM Modi, the Center has opened so far 3600 (Three six zero zero) Jan Aushadhi Kendras in the Country which will be increased to 5000 within the next year, Providing among others, most importantly needed day to day medicines for Diabetic, Blood Pressure and Thyroid Patients Etc., at Cheaper rates.
Mr. Joshi said that Nations in the West have Secured Societies. In India, we have neither a Secured nor an Insured Society. If any Country is to develop and Progress, Good Health of its people are very Important. Therefore, a Sound health system in place is very necessary. Majority of people in India are Dependant on Government Health care system. Despite limitations, the Modi Government has created successfully The Ayushman Bharat Scheme which is now the World’s Largest Health Insurance Scheme under which more than 500 (Five hundred) Million people belonging to about 50 (Fifty) Million Families have been treated in 26039 Hospitals at a cost of more than Rupees 17,000 (Seventeen) Thousand Crores so far in the Country. Of the Total people treated, 4,13,000 belonged to Karnataka State and an amount of Rs. 82 Crores were spent on them, he added.
