COVID-19: Congress demands judicial probe into corruption in purchase of medical equipment

Udupi, Aug 3(UNI) Former Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Dinesh Gundu Rao on Monday reiterated his party's demand for a judicial inquiry by a sitting High Court judge against corruption to the tune of about Rs 2000 crore in the purchase of medical equipment by the state government.
Speaking to media here, he said that the BJP led government is mired in deep rooted corruption in the state besides looting money in the name of COVID-19, which is proved in the affidavits submitted to the court by the government.
He said, "The Chief Minister is asking for cooperation from the opposition, should we support them for looting the money".
