Bengaluru, Sep 16 (UNI) With the reporting of another highest-single-day fresh case of 9,725 COVID-19 infections, the total number of persons infected with COVID-19 surged to 484990 in Karnataka.
According to official sources, the total number of COVID-19 related deaths also spiked to 7536 so far, with the reporting of 70 more persons succumbing to the disease in the last 24-hours.
The sources said that Bengaluru Urban district reported highest 3571 number of cases on Wednesday, followed by Bagalakote 158, Ballari 381, Belagavi 258, Bengaluru Rural 168, Bidar 52, Chamarajanagara 65, Chikkaballapura 149, Chikkamagaluru 171, Chitradurga 227, Dakshina Kannada 466, Davanagere 213, Dharwada 246, Gadaga 108, Hassana 308, Haveri 81, Kalaburagi 221, Kodagu 41, Kolara 101, Koppala 152, Mandya 182, Mysuru 748, Raichuru 193, Ramanagara 62, Shivamogga 293, Tumakuru 401, Udupi 191, Uttara Kannada 294, Vijayapura 115 and Yadagiri district 109.
