Good response to 35-hour lockdown in K'taka

Bengaluru, July 12 (UNI) There was a total response for the 35 hours lockdown imposed from 2000 hrs on Saturday to 0500 hrs on Monday and in a way, it shows that people are left with no option, but to gear up for a week-long fight against Novel Coronavirus in Karnataka.
However, the total lockdown will, to begin with, be implemented in Bengaluru Rural and Bengaluru Urban districts from July 14 to 22 since the cases are increasing beyond control. However, essential services including hospitals, grocery shops, vegetable shops, are exempted and it is available in the City.
Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa will be holding a crucial meeting with District heads on implementation of lockdown in the entire State or in the District where the number of cases are high. Guidelines for week-long lockdown will also be discussed and announced tomorrow. Detailed guidelines will be released on Monday,he tweeted in another tweet.
