Spl strategy to contain spread of Covid in rural areas: EG collector

Kakinada, Sep 18 (UNI) East Godavari Collector D Muralidhara Reddy has said that special strategy was formulated and would be implemented meticulously to contain the spread of Covid in rural areas in the district.
Participating in the video conference held by Chief secretary Neelam Sahney and special chief secretary medical and health Dr Jawahar reddy from secretariate on covid situation on Friday ,Collector said that the number of Covid tests would be increased in rural areas and necessary steps to contain the virus would be taken. The Collector further said that the Home isolation system would be strengthened ensuring more surveillance.
He said the volunteers in village and ward secretariate, besides the health secretaries, were playing a key role in identifying the primary and secondary contact cases.
