Major fire breaks out at Kerala Government Secretariat

Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 25 (UNI) A major fire broke out at the protocol section in the Government Secretariat at around 1700 hours here on Tuesday.
The fire erupted due to electric short-circuit. Files and Computers in the protocol section of the General Administration Department (GAD) at the Sandwich Block was burnt, sources said.
Fire tenders from several units fought the fire to avoid spreading it to nearby offices. Thick smoke engulfed the area, causing breathing difficulty to people in the Secretariat.
