Idols Lord Ganesh immersed in sea off Shanghumugam beach

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 15 (UNI) Idols of Lord Ganesh were immersed in the sea, off Shanghumugham beach as part of the conclusion of Ganeshotsav adhering to COVID protocol here on Wednesday.
This year also eco friendly idols made of clay, coconut husk and chalk powder were only immersed in water bodies across Kerala as part of the festival organised by Ganeshotsav Trust, Chairman MS Bhuvanachandran told newspersons.
Kerala Education Minister V Sivankutty and Cultural Minister Saji Cheriyan inaugurated the Concluding ceremony and Cultural meet respectively at Pazhavadi Ganapathi Temple here this afternoon.
