Committed to strengthening economic ties between India-Seychelles: Dr Patrick Herminie at FICCI event

Chennai, Feb 6 (UNI) Visiting Seychelles President Dr. Patrick Herminie on Friday reaffirmed the longstanding and strategic bilateral relations between India and his country, describing them as time-tested, rooted in shared history, and forward-looking in ambition.
Addressing the ‘India-Seychelles Business Forum’ organised by Industry body FICCI, he appreciated India’s consistent partnership
and reconfirmed Seychelles’ commitment to further strengthening cooperation and deepening economic engagement between the two countries.

Chennai, June 15 (UNI) Stung by the Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker JCD Prabhakar’s ruling accepting the resignation of four AIADMK legislators who joined the ruling Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) of Chief Minister Joseph Vijay, even as disqualification proceedings were pending against them for voting in favour of the government in the trust vote in violation of the whip, the party moved the Madras High Court challenging the decision, besides restraining the Election Commission to hold the bye-elections to the four seats.
