Kochi, Sep 23 (UNI) Stating that the government-run Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) will be upgraded to international standards, Kerala Minister for Labour T P Ramakrishnan on Wednesday said five new ITIs will be established in the state.
Inaugurating the third phase construction of the Rs 2.66 crore Arakuzha government ITI via online, Mr Ramakrishnan said once the construction gets completed, three trades will be started in the ITI and training will be provided to 240 students.
The Minister pointed out that industrial training will be given to people in rural areas. The government established 17 ITIs within four years, he said.
