Girl’s ambition to become Pilot astronaut, AP CM assures funding for training

Kakinada, July 27 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has positively responded to the request of Jahnavi, a girl from Palakol, who created history and achieved recognition as the first Indian to participate in the NASA international air and space programme, and assured to extend financial assistance for receiving training to become a pilot astronaut.
When the CM was about to leave the R& B guest house at Rajahmundry on Wednesday morning for a visit to the flood affected areas in for agency mandals getting submerged under Polavaram project , Jahnavi met him along with family members and expressed her desire to become a pilot astronaut and sought financial assistance towards the cost of training.
She told the CM that she was proceeding with the sole aim of entering the space on the lines of Kalpana Chawla and Suneetha williams.
