Need financial discipline for inclusive growth & sustainable development in AP: Speakers at AGRASRI Webinar

Tirupati, Nov 28 (UNI) For inclusive growth and sustainable development of Andhra Pradesh, the financial discipline is the need of the hour and applicable alternative solution and measures for coming out from the present financial crisis, stressed by many senior policy makers and researchers at the Webinar meeting organised by the Academy of Grassroots Studies and Research of India (AGRASRI), Tirupati-based Research Organistion here on Sunday.
Delivering the 19th AGRASRI Foundation Day Lecture and Panel Discussion on 'Implementation of Welfare Programmes in Andhra Pradesh: Financial Problems, Emerging Challenges and Solutions here, Dr. T. Hanuman Chowdhary, Chairman of the Pragna Bharati and Padma Shri awardee, said that the implementation of the Welfare programmes by the respective governments for the past 10 years were based on the personal agenda and popularity alone and completely ignored the status and position of the financial resources available in the state. He said that for sustainable and speedy development of Andhra Pradesh state, the policy makers at the helm of the affairs must adopt and follow certain financial rules and regulations for healthy and durable financial management while formulating and implementing the Welfare programmes. Analysing the present financial imbroglio at the national as well as state levels, Dr. Chowdhary felt that every government in India is facing the financial crunch and it leads to financial bankruptcy.
