Mining company Singareni to set up 500 MW floating solar power plants on water bodies in Telangana

Hyderabad, Jul 13 (UNI) To expand its business, State-owned coal mining company, Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) is ready for the setting up of 500 Megawatt floating solar power plants on large water bodies in the state.
A Study with Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation (TSREDC) Ltd on floating solar power projects is under progress, the mining company said in a statement, here on Monday.
On the instruction of SCCL Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) N Sridhar, the Corporation, which has taken up the feasibility study for erecting floating solar power plants on water resources, presented a PowerPoint presentation.
