Bengaluru, Jan 9 (UNI) She is an enlightened one, who is out on a mission with Sri Krishna ji, to create 80,000 people with an aim to make them experience the world through an enlightened state of Oneness (Ekam) so that the humanity moves away from violence to peace for greater wellbeing (Lok Kalayana).
And they did this in Colombia too a few years back. Ekam, her World Centre For Enlightenment, was one among the many who brokered peace between Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) and Colombian government.
This was acknowledged by none other than Rodrigo Londono, the maximum leader of the FARC, in media interviews, where he emphasized that Ekam's event enabled him to understand that his choice for peace, an inner truth and reconciliation was the right one. "I received unconditional support from everyone, mostly my former foes. Thanks to Ekam," Londono told reporters in 2018.
After more than 52 years of civil war and millions of victims, and a three years old peace treaty that had polarized Colombia, influential leaders of Colombian society joined for three days in the mountain ranges of Columbia under the guidance of Sri Preethaji to awaken to peace, Sri Preethaji recalled.
"This event - Peace In Your Eyes - was the setting for something never attempted before," she said.
The Spiritual Guru had led a group of top leaders from all walks of life including demobilized guerrillas and retired generals into responsibility for future generations, and compassion towards each other and their fellow countrymen and women.
"I was right there, in an Ashram in the middle of the forest with pristine rivers, where after three intense days working with us, former enemies were able to see human beings at the other end, willing to have a second chance to build a beautiful future together," Sri Peethaji told UNI in an interview here.
"All participants needed enormous courage to be part of "Peace In Your Eyes" event. For me and Yuktesh this feat represented a tremendous effort - travelling all the way from India to Medellín, being at the heart of a former war zone, with heterogeneous leaders," she said.
In San Rafael, reality defeated imagination, Sri Preethaji said, adding, "Victims and perpetrators, members of both sides (FARC and Colombian government), witnesses and enemies in the past sat in complete silence guided by the voice of Ekam, exploring reconciliation from a more spiritual dimension, opening the doors to sincere and genuine dialogue, to the word that is born from the heart, and thus, to advance in the construction of a country."
A firm decision to hold the door of dialogue open with arguments, without attacks, without weapons and without violence, was agreed amongst all, Sri Preethaji recollected.
Ekam is the World Centre for Enlightenment. The word Ekam refers to the highest state of oneness with all existence. The structure of Ekam is built as a 3-dimensional surya yantra mandala, the ancient geometric form that draws the sun’s mystic energy into the spiritual bodies of the seekers. It empowers seekers with leadership, radiance, brilliance, and vitality.
Ekam Enlightenment Festival is a seven-day celebration held each year at Ekam that brings people together from more than eighty countries.
