Backward Classes Commission seeks report from AICTE, TSCHE on irregularities in admissions

Hyderabad, Oct 10 (UNI) In the backdrop of receiving complaints from the public about irregularities in admissions into private engineering colleges under Management quota, the National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBWC) on Friday directed the AICTE and TSCHE to submit a report on the admission guidelines followed for the admitting students under Management Quota in the previous four academic years, from 2017 to 2021 in various engineering colleges in Telangana within two-days.
This commission has received a complaint from the public spirited persons against the private engineering colleges in Telangana state alleging that these colleges are not following the norms prescribed for B-Category admissions, Commission Member Achary Thalloju said in a release here.
It is also alleged that these colleges are beforehand receiving donations and without following AICTE norms selling the seats and are not following the minimum qualification rules at the time of admissions in the B-category, said Achary.
