Degree academic year to start from Sep 1 in K'taka

Bengaluru, Aug 26 (UNI) The academic year of the degree colleges will commence from September 1 and the direct (offline) classes will start from October onwards, Deputy Chief Minister Of Higher Education Dr C N Ashwath Narayan on Wednesday.
"So far, we have not received guidelines from the Union government on conducting direct classes in colleges. Some degree examination will be held in September. Online classes in colleges in the state will start from September 1, Mr Narayan said.
The state government has already made all preparations as per UGC guidelines for starting classes. Mr Narayan said that they will decide on direct classes once they receive confirmation from the Centre.
