AP Gov to participate in Conference on New Education Policy 2020

Vijayawada, Sep 4 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswa Bhusan Harichandan has been invited by President Ram Nath Kovind to participate in the Governors’ Conference on the ‘Role of New Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020) in transforming Higher Education’ to be held on September 7 through video conference.
A release here said that the President spoke to Andhra Pradesh Governor over the phone on Friday and discussed the issue. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister of Education Sri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ will be addressing the Governors’ conference, followed by inaugural address by President Ram Nath Kovind.
The Conference will be attended by all Governors, Lt Governors, Education Ministers of all States, Vice Chancellors of all State Universities, Principal Secretaries/Secretaries to Governors and Lt. Governors, Principal Secretaries/Secretaries of Higher Education of States and UTs, in a virtual mode from their respective locations.
