Expats set up new ventures, 4,897 register with NORKA

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 23 (UNI) Many expatriates who have returned to Kerala from abroad after the outbreak of the COVID pandemic are planning to start new ventures here. Over the past six months, 4,897 expats have registered with the Non-Resident Keralites Affairs (NORKA) Department Project for Returned Emigrants (NDPREM) scheme, which helps these emigrants to start their own businesses.
The number of registrations is much higher than the 1,043 registrations last year. In the years before, this was less than 1,000.

Puducherry, Nov 30 (UNI) The Ambient noise level has increased by 21.1 per cent on Diwali day (80.9dB(A) ) compared to pre-Diwali Day(66.8 dB(A)) and decreased by 2.9 per cent compared to the Diwali dai in 2019(83.3dB(A)).
