AP R&B Department to take up two projects at a cost of Rs 6,400 cr : Minister

Vijayawada, Jan 7 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Roads and Buildings (R&B) department has proposed to take up two projects-AP Mandal Connectivity and Rural Connectivity Improvement Project (APMCRCIP) and the AP Roads and Bridges Reconstruction Project (APRBRP) at a cost of Rs 6,400 crore.
Informing this at a press conference here on Thursday, R&B Minister M Shankar Narayana said that the R&B department had proposed to take up each project at a cost of Rs.3200 crore with the financial assistance of New Development Bank (NDB) with 70:30 sharing (NDB Share-70% & State Share-30%) for providing double lane connectivity from District headquarters to Mandal headquarters and Mandal headquarters to adjoining Mandal headquarters.
"Under this project, widening of 3,104 KMs of roads and construction/ Reconstruction of 479 nos of bridges are proposed.
