World’s First Ultraviolet baggage disinfection conveyor launched in Indian market

Hyderabad, Jun 26 (UNI) World’s First Ultraviolet baggage disinfection Conveyor developed by Hyderabad-based Apollo Micro Systems (AMS) Limited in collaboration with Naval Physical and Oceanographic Laboratory (NPOL) and the Kochi based laboratory of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) was launched in Indian market on Friday.
The Ultra Violet Rays Germicidal conveyor system developed in record time, was launched by DRDO Chairman and Department of Defence ( R & D) Secretary Dr G Satheesh Reddy in presence of distinguished Scientist and Naval Systems and Materials Director General Dr Samir V.Kamat and Naval Physical and Oceanographic laboratory (NPOL), Kochi S.Vijayan Pillai .
The system eliminates microbes including COVID-19 coming through baggage and similar to usual X-Ray machines at such places, this UV Conveyor comes with complete certified efficacy, AMS said in a release here.
