Woman submits petition to Collector, seeks arrest of Police Inspector in her husband’s murder case

Thoothukudi, Oct 19 (UNI) The wife of 30-year-old trader, S.Selvan who was abducted and murdered by a gang at Thattarmadam in the Thoothukudi, submitted a petition to the District collector on Monday demanding the arrest of a suspended Police Inspector for his involvement in her husband’s murder.
Selvan’s widow Jeevitha, in her petition to the collector Sandeep Nanduri, said though the police had arrested expelled AIADMK functionary M.Thirumanavel and six of his associates, then Thattarmadam Police Inspector Harikrishnan had not been arrested till date, even more than a month after the murder and after the case had been transferred to the Crime Branch-CID.
She sought immediate arrest of Harikrishnan and appealed to the government to fulfill its promises of a government job, free house site patta and a free house under the green house scheme to her.
