Banned chewing tobacco products worth over Rs 57 lakh seized; one inter-state supplier held

Hyderabad, Nov 18 (UNI) East Zone Task force team has seized 1,475 kgs of banned chewing tobacco products, worth Rs 57.07 lakh and arrested one inter-state supplier here on Thursday.
On credible information, the Task Force Team along with Afzalgunj Police conducted raid on a godown located at New Osmangunj and apprehended D Chinna Nagaraju, who indulged in possession/sale of banned noxious Chewing Tobacco products, Hyderabad City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar said at a press conference here.
During the raid, the banned tobacco products weighing about 1475 Kilograms was seized from Nagaraju, a resident of Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh, he said.
