74 idols seized from antique shop

Puducherry, Sep 24 (UNI) The idol wing of the Tamil Nadu police on Thursday seized 74 idols from an antique shop on the Roman Rolland street here.
According to sources, on a tip off, a police team headed by Superintendent of Police R Sakthivel raided the shop and seized 74 idols without any documents and took them to Chennai.
It is suspected that the idols might have been stolen from ancient temples of Tamil Nadu. This includes 60 metallic idols and 14 stone idols.
