Man dies after jumping into river in Kerala

Pathanamthitta, Jun 21 (UNI) A 67-year-old man died after jumping into a river here, police sources said on Sunday.
According to the sources, he took the step after allegedly murdering his wife at their house in Konni.
The deceased was identified as Gananathan (67), an astrologer by profession. Eyewitnesses had seen him rushing to the river bank after telling the neighbour that his wife Ramani (65) died.
The neighbours rushed to the house and found his wife lying in a pool of blood.
Police shifted the body to the hospital.
Police have registered a case and the nature of death would be confirmed after receiving a postmortem report.
