Police arrest 7,674 goondas in state-wide raids, seize 3,245 mobile phones

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 29 (UNI) In the wake of widespread goonda attacks and murders in Kerala, police conducted state-wide raids on houses since the last seven days and arrested 7,674 goondas and seized 3,245 mobile phones.
Raids were conducted on 7,767 houses by the special action team which led to the arrest of numerous absconding accused and other anti-social elements, including history sheeters and accused in various assault cases.
"Bail granted to 53 people has been cancelled citing violation of bail conditions. Action has been initiated against 175 under the Kerala Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act (KAAPA)," a release said on Tuesday evening.
