Gold worth around Rs 24 lakh seized at Kannur Intl Airport, one held

Kannur, Nov 18 (UNI) Air customs sleuths on Wednesday seized 470 grams of gold valued around Rs 24 lakh from a passenger who arrived at Kannur International Airport from Dubai in an Air India flight.
Customs Assistant Commissioner E Vikas-led team arrested the passenger, a native of Vadakara in Kozhikode district, with the gold.
The seized gold in the compound form was kept inside a jar and further investigation is underway, Customs sources said.
