Former mayor and Congress corporator RS Raj, who was absconding after Aug 11 violence, held

Bengaluru, Nov 17 (UNI) Former Mayor and Congress Corporator, who was absconding since Aug 11 after violence in which four people died and created terror in public, was nabbed in the city by CCB sleuths, who are investigating the case.
Police said on Tuesday that Sampath Raj was on the run for over a month to evade arrest after violence in KG Halli and DJ Halli area in the city.
Sampath Raj was arrested from his hideout in Benson Town in North Bengaluru on Monday late night by a team headed by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ATC), CCB, Venugopal. Sandeep Patil, Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime), confirmed his arrest and said, further details would be shared after questioning him.
