Adyar Gram Panchayat president who attacked died of injuries

Mangaluru, Jul 11 (UNI) Adyar Gram Panchayat member Yaqub, who was brutally attacked by a gang on Friday, succumbed to his injuries at a private hospital, police said on Saturday.
The police said that a group had launched an attack on Yaqub near Adyar at around 2100 hours. It has also informed that one of the assailants was an acquaintance of Yaqub and was residing at Adyar Padavu some times back.
The exact motive behind this attack was not known. Yaqub, who somehow returned home, had left fo for treatment with his son by an auto-rickshaw. He breathed his last in the private hospital.
