EG police intensive drive against ID Liquor; 43,200 litres jaggery wash destroyed, 21 held

Kakinada, Nov 13 (UNI) The East Godavari police along with the Special enforcement Bureau(SEB) sleuths have taken up an intensive drive against ID Liquor –both brewing dens and stock points by conducting raids on Saturday and destroyed as much as 43,200 liters of fermented jaggery wash ready for distillation.
They also seized 640 liters of arrack packed in plastic tins ready for movement in the ID Liquor dens and residential premises during the raids conducted at various places in Kakinada, Peddapuram, Amalapuram and Ramachandrapuram sub division limits and arrested 21 persons involved in the illicit ID Liquor business.
Total 35 cases were booked during the raids and the brewing equipment including steel drums, plastic tins were destroyed, police said .
