Drunk drive cases: 3 get two days in jail,16 fined Rs.10,000 each

Kakinada, July 18(UNI) The third special judicial second class Magistrate court on Thursday while delivering the verdict in drunk drive cases, has sentenced three vehicle drivers to two days imprisonment and a R.10,000 fine each to sixteen drivers.
These 19 people were caught by Kakinada city traffic police during the special drive on Wednesday night.
The traffic police one and two stations Circle Inspectors Chaithanya Krishna and Suresh said that the special drive was launched under the orders of SP Vikrant Patil and would continue as a part of the programme to reduce the accident rate in the district.
