Cong roaming around as Sultan of tukde-tukde gang: PM Modi

By BD Narayankar
Mysuru, Apr 14 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a gathering in Mysuru on April 14, referred to the Congress party as the "Sultan of the Tukde-Tukde Gang."
"The Congress party today is roaming around like the ‘Sultan’ of a ‘Tukde-Tukde’ gang. The dangerous intentions of dividing, breaking, and weakening the country are still the same in the Congress party today," he said.
"While India's stature and respect are increasing globally, Congress leaders go abroad to denigrate the country. When the country gives a fitting reply to its enemies, Congress demands proof of surgical strikes from the army. When an organization involved in terrorist activities is banned, Congress works with its political wing," the Prime Minister added.
PM Modi emphasised that the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections would not only shape the next five years but also influence India's trajectory toward becoming a developed nation by 2047.
"People in INDI Alliance want to finish 'Sanatana'. They want to destroy the powers of the Hindu religion. Till Modi is there, these hateful forces will never succeed, this is Modi's guarantee...2024 Lok Sabha elections will not just decide the next 5 years but the 'Viksit Bharat' of 2047," he said.
Furthermore, PM Modi pointed out instances where he believed the Congress showed a lack of support for national interests. He claimed that while India's global reputation is on the rise, Congress leaders have criticized the country internationally.
He also accused the Congress of demanding proof of surgical strikes conducted by the army against enemies and collaborating with organizations involved in terrorist activities through its political wing.
He was addressing a historic general election poll rally here where the stage was shared by former PM HD Deve Gowda and his sons HD Kumaraswamy and HD Revanna at the Maharaja Grounds.
The joint campaigning was a part of the NDA to display the united effort of both BJP and JDS to woo the voters of the Old Mysuru Region where the BJP is trying to make inroads, and yet has not been fruitful so far.
PM Modi contrasted his tenure of ten years with what he portrays as the Congress party's sixty-year history of not being held accountable. He accused the Congress of being adept at creating problems and deceiving the public.
PM Modi further criticised the Karnataka Congress Party, describing it as an "ATM state of looting." He alleged that the state's treasury has been depleted due to what he perceives as widespread corruption and open looting under the Congress's watch.
According to him, this has resulted in the discontinuation of development and welfare schemes, affecting the people of Karnataka adversely.
In his concluding remarks, PM Modi made a direct appeal to the people of Karnataka, urging them to vote for BJP candidates in the upcoming elections. He emphasised the pivotal role that their votes would play in bolstering his leadership and influencing the future trajectory of India.
PM Modi underscored the significance of democratic participation, urging voters to recognise the power of their votes. He stated that casting a vote for BJP candidates on April twenty-sixth will not only strengthen his position but also determine the country's future.
Talking about the BJP Sankalp Patra released ahead of the Lok Sabha election, PM Modi emphasised that these promises are designed to significantly improve the quality of life for every individual. He positioned the BJP as a party committed to inclusive growth and welfare-oriented policies, aiming to appeal to a broad spectrum of voters.
Recognising the guidance of HD Deve Gowda, PM Modi acknowledged the contributions of a seasoned leader who has played a significant role in Karnataka's political landscape.
PM Modi also mentioned BS Yediyurappa's dedication and leadership as a prominent figure within the BJP, reinforcing the party's commitment to working alongside experienced leaders to drive development and address the needs of the people.
PM Modi also evoked Karnataka's tradition of sacrifice, underlining the state's commitment to national unity and integrity. He highlighted the sacrifices made by the Saints of Sutturu Math and the pride associated with Field Marshal Cariappa, reflecting the state's deep-rooted values of service and dedication.
He highlighted the voice of unity represented by the national poet Kuvempu and the development initiatives undertaken by king Krishnaraja Wodeyar of Mysuru. These references serve to showcase Karnataka's cultural richness, intellectual depth, and historical contributions to the country.
PM Modi also spoke of the aspirations of mothers in Kodagu who dream of sending their children to the army for national service, highlighting the state's patriotic spirit and commitment to national defense.
