Brawl: Nalapad smells conspiracy of Cong, BJP leaders to malign him

Bengaluru, Jan 20 (UNI) Congress leader Mohammed Haris Nalapad on Thursday hinted at a conspiracy of some Congress and BJP leaders to deny him the post of the president of Karnataka Youth Congress by needlessly dragging his name into a fresh drunken brawl which happened late Wednesday night.
"I have been repeatedly saying this. Last time I have said this. To deny me the post of Karnataka Youth Congress president, some of them in my party (Congress) or in the opposition (BJP) are trying to malign my image by dragging my name into controversies in which I have nothing to do," he told reporters.
Nalapad's name was dragged by his own party man, Youth Congress President of Ballari unit Siddu Halleygouda, by allegedly circulating images of his injuries caused allegedly by his supporters through Whatsapp. This, however, was denied by Halleygouda later.
