Bengaluru, Jan 21 (UNI) Several BJP MLAs met Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Friday and pushed for an early expansion of the state cabinet in view of the state elections next year.
The meeting comes a day after several BJP MLAs led by MP Renukacharya and Basangouda Patil Yatnal had met to push for early cabinet expansion. Of late, both leaders have been expressing their desire to be ministers in Bommai's cabinet.
Renukacharya, who is also political secretary to the chief minister, had said that if necessary they would also visit Delhi and meet central leaders to push for cabinet expansion to take on DK Shivakumar who is under the illusion of Congress coming to power in the 2023 election.
