Conversion of Thandas as Gram Panchayats already completely : Minister

Hyderabad, Sep 10 (UNI) Telangana Minister for Panchayat Raj Errabelli Dayakar Rao said in the Assembly on Thursday that the process of conversion of Thanda as Gram Panchayats has already completed and it was incorporated in the schedule VIII of TS PR ACT, 2018.
Replying to a question from members during question hour in the house, Mr Rao said the government has converted Thandas, girijana Adhivasi Gudems into Gram Panchayats which have a population of more than 500 in the state.
The Gram Panchayats with 100 per cent ST population in plain area are 1177 thanda Panchayats and 650 Grama Panchayats in Scheduled Area were newly constituted, totaling to 1281 Grama panchayats in the state, the Minister informed.
