Hyderabad, July 30 (UNI) The sixth day of the Telangana Legislative Assembly budget session commenced at 1000 hours on Tuesday, focusing on the state budget.
The question-and-answer session was cancelled. At the beginning of the house, the Skill University Bill was introduced by IT and Industry Minister D Sridhar Babu.
Today, discussions will cover demands for grants related to nine departments, including the Fisheries Department, Sports and Youth Services, Social Welfare, Tribal Welfare, and Minority Welfare.
The assembly will address issues concerning the Agriculture and Tourism Departments. Members will also discuss matters related to the Endowment and Forest Departments, Roads and Buildings, Panchayati Raj, Rural Development, and Maternal and Child Welfare.
Further discussions will include topics on revenue, registrations, housing, and Information & Public Relations (I&PR). A heated debate is expected regarding Irrigation and Civil Supplies.
The fifth day of the Telangana Legislative Assembly session began at 1000 hours on Monday and continued for 17 hours until 0300 hours on Tuesday, approving demands for grants related to 19 departments.
The second installment of funds of the crop loan waiver scheme will be released at a program held on Legislative Assembly premises.
The state government will waive off crop loans up to Rs 1.50 lakh on Tuesday. In this phase, 7 lakh farmers will benefit from a total of Rs 7,000 crore.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will participate in the program organized by the Agriculture Department at the assembly premises around 1300 hours and release the funds.
