Efforts underway to ensure 24 hours water supply to people in Telangana : CM

Hyderabad,Oct 7 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao told the state Assembly on Thursday that all efforts were being made to ensure 24 hours water supply to the people in the state.
Replying to a discussion on 'Palle Patnam Pragathi' in the house, he said that tap connection was being provided to the poor people for just Rs.one, adding that Rs.5,378 crore were being spent to supply water to every household in the state.
He said in view of growing needs of the expanding Hyderabad, Rs.1,200 crore were allocated to develop and provide amenities on the outskirts of the city.
