Will ensure Mysuru rapists get capital punishment: CM Bommai

Bengaluru, Sep 22 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Wednesday said the state government will appoint special prosecutor and ensure rapists are granted capital punishment.
"We will appoint a special prosecutor. And we will follow it up and see that the accused are granted capital punishment," he said in the state assembly.
Before lunch hours, Bommai said the BJP government has promptly taken action in the Mysuru gangrape case unlike Congress government, which delayed action in 2013 Manipal gang-rape case.
