CBI takes up 4,741 cases in Rs 532 crore scam by Popular Finance: Kerala CM

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 6 (UNI) In connection with the Rs 532 crore scam by the Popular Finance Company, 4,741 cases were taken up by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan told the Kerala Assembly on Wednesday.
The Chief Minister said this while replying to a submission moved by Opposition leader VD Satheesan in this regard.
The case was handed over to the CBI following a High Court order on November 23, 2020, the Chief Minister added.
