Vijayawada, Nov 22 (UNI) The death toll in the heavy rains and floods in the affected four districts of Andhra Pradesh has risen to 34 and 10 persons are still missing, Agriculture Minister Kurasala Kannababu informed the Assembly on Monday.
Making a statement in the house, Mr Kannababu said that so far 34 people had died in heavy rains and floods in Kadapa, Nellore, Anantapur and Chittoor districts and 10 persons were still missing and efforts were being made to trace them.
He said that as per the preliminary enumeration, crops were damaged in more than 8 lakh acres in the state due to heavy rains and floods.
