Inculcate scientific temper among children from schooling days : Kakinada SP

Kakinada, Nov 24 (UNI) Kakinada district Superintendent of police M. Ravindranath Babu has stressed the need for inculcating logical thinking and scientific temper among the children from the schooling days so that they would be groomed as future scientists. Participating as the chief guest at the two day 30th National children science congress under the aegis of state technical education council and school education department at the Gitam English medium school here on Thursday , he said, scientific and logical thinking alone would help the students to come up bright in their studies and also have a good future.
District educational officer Datla Subhadra who chaired the session said that science exhibitions were being organized from the school level itself to create interest among the students on science.
She said projects were prepared this year with the theme ' promoting awareness on environment and ecological system for better health and welfare’ and due to an intensive campaign for the past two months on children science congress more projects were received. Gitam school correspondent M. Sujnan said development was possible only through science .

Hyderabad, April 24 (UNI) The Election Commission of India (ECI) has issued a communication stipulating that every individual employed in any business, trade, industrial undertaking, or establishment, eligible to vote in elections to the House of the People or the Legislative Assembly of a State, shall be granted a paid holiday under Section 135 B of the Representation of People Act.
