Social organizations volunteers holds demo against New Education Policy

Puducherry, Aug 3 (UNI) Volunteers of different social organizations here on Monday held a demonstration in front of the head post office to protest against the New Education Policy announced by the Central government.
Led by Dravidar Viduthalai Kazhagam, the volunteers shouted slogans against the Union governmentby maintaining that it is a move to impose Sanskrit language and that public examinations to 3rd, 5th and 8th classes will spoil the education opportunity of rural villages.
They urged the Congress-DMK government here not to accept it or implement the policy in the Union territory.
