PAPSCO-PASIC employees restorts to indefinite dharna near Assembly

Puducherry, Sep 10 (UNI) Employees of the Puducherry Agro Service and Industries Corporation (PASIC) and Puducherry Agro-Products and Civil Supplies Corporation (PAPSCO) affiliated to the AITUC on Thursday resorted to an indefinite dharna near the legislative assembly to press their demands.
They were demanding among other things the immediate disbursement of their pending salary for several months.
The employees gathered near the Immaculate Conception Cathedral and tried to march to the legislative assembly. However, when police prevented them they began their dharna near the cathedral.
