Police use water canons to disperse BJYM activists

Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 30 (UNI) Police used water canons to disperse Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) activists when they staged a Secretariat march in protest against the suicide of a PSC rank holder here on Sunday.
The protest turned violent when the agitators tried to cross the police barricades erected in front of the Secretariat gate forcing the police to use water canons to disperse the youths.
The agitators squatted on the road and raised slogans against the Government demanding cases against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and the PSC Chairman alleging that the rank holder Anu (28) committed suicide due to delay in reporting vacancies in the excise department.
